Privacy Policy

CharPixel Technologies builds software from offices in Noida, India and Halton Hills, Ontario. This page explains what happens to personal data collected through charpixel.com.

It covers this website only. It does not cover software we build for clients — in those projects the client decides how data is handled and their own policy applies.

Very little, and almost all of it is information you type and send us on purpose.

From the enquiry form. Your name and email address, and — only if you choose to provide them — your company, phone number, the type of project, an indicative budget range, and whatever you write in the message field. We also record whether you asked for an NDA, and which page the enquiry came from, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.

From email or a call. If you contact us directly we hold that correspondence and whatever it contains.

Server logs. Our hosting platform records standard request information such as IP address, browser user-agent and the page requested. This is generated automatically for security and reliability rather than collected by us for analysis.

We have no use for sensitive information — health, financial account details, government identifiers or similar — and we never ask for it. Please don't include it in a message to us.

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. There is no advertising pixel, no session recording, no behavioural profiling and no third-party tag manager. We checked this against the live build rather than assuming it.

That means there is nothing to consent to and no preferences to manage, which is why you won't see a cookie banner.

If we ever add analytics or anything else that stores information on your device, we'll update this page and introduce a consent mechanism before it goes live — not afterwards.

To reply to you, to work out whether we're a good fit for what you're describing, and to run the project if one follows.

Specifically, that means:

• Responding to your enquiry and asking follow-up questions.
• Assessing scope so we can suggest something realistic rather than generic.
• Communicating with you during a project, if the enquiry becomes one.
• Keeping records of work we've done, for accounting and reference.

We don't use your information to build a marketing profile, and we don't add people who enquire to a mailing list. If we ever want to send you something that isn't a reply, we'll ask first.

We don't sell personal data, rent it, or trade it. There is no scenario in which your enquiry becomes someone else's lead list.

It reaches other parties only where there's a practical reason:

• The tools we run on — hosting, email, and the system we use to manage enquiries. They process data on our instructions and can't use it for their own purposes.
• Our accountants, where a project record forms part of our books.

Inside CharPixel, access follows need: the people who see an enquiry are the ones who might work on it.

Only as long as there's a reason to hold it.

Enquiries that don't become projects are kept for a limited period so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us later — which happens more often than you'd think — and then deleted.

Records relating to an actual project are kept for the length of the working relationship, and afterwards for the period our accounting obligations require.

Server logs are held on a short rolling window by our hosting platform and age out automatically.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless it forms part of a financial record we're required to keep.

Email hello@charpixel.com and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete it.

You don't need a reason and there's no form to fill in — just ask.

Access controls, encryption in transit, and least privilege — people on our team can reach only what their work requires.

Worth being straightforward about the limits: no transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and no company can promise data will never be compromised. What we can commit to is handling it carefully and telling you promptly if something goes wrong.

We link out to client websites, app stores and technology vendors. Once you follow a link you're on someone else's site under their policy, not ours — we have no control over what they collect.

When we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we'll say so rather than quietly amending the text.

We won't put the burden on you to keep checking a page for changes we chose to make.
