Courier Genie: Comparing Couriers Before You Book
A courier comparison and booking platform spanning customer, vendor and admin — pickups across Delhi/NCR, delivery across India.
About Courier Genie
Courier Genie is an online parcel aggregator that lets a customer compare quotes from multiple courier companies — including DTDC, FedEx, First Flight and Trackon — before booking a single pickup. CharPixel built the full solution: the customer-facing web platform and Android app, a vendor and courier-partner management layer, and the admin console behind both. Pickups are free and doorstep across Delhi/NCR, with delivery available across India, and a customer can pay online or on pickup.

What the platform had to solve
Sending a courier the conventional way means either committing to one courier company's price with no comparison, or calling round several to find out which is cheapest and fastest for a given route and weight. Courier Genie's job was to put that comparison in front of the customer before they commit — across live quotes from several courier partners, several delivery tiers and a network of pickup cities — without turning the courier companies' own separate systems into the customer's problem.
What made it difficult
Comparable quotes from incomparable systems
Each courier partner prices differently by weight slab, zone and service tier. Producing one comparable quote list meant normalising several partners' pricing logic into a single model rather than just relaying their numbers.
Three sides, one booking
A customer places an order, a courier partner fulfils it, and an admin has to see and adjust the pricing and commercial terms behind both — the platform had to serve all three without the admin layer leaking into the customer experience.
Pricing that varies by weight, zone and company
Weight ranges, city-to-city zones and per-company rate cards all move independently, and the admin console had to make that configurable rather than hard-coded — a change to one vendor's rates shouldn't require a code deploy.
Web, Android and the back office in step
Bookings, pricing changes and courier-partner terms all had to stay consistent across the customer web app, the Android app and the admin console reading and writing the same data.
How we approached it
- 01
Comparison and booking flow
A five-step flow — booking info, compare services, address, cart, place order — that gets from a parcel's details to a comparable set of courier quotes without asking for information twice.
- 02
Configurable pricing engine
Weight ranges, zones and per-company rate cards managed from the admin console, including a vendor cut factor per weight slab, so commercial terms change without a code deploy.
- 03
Admin and vendor console
A back office covering users, bookings, coupons, courier-partner companies and regional zones, so operations and customer support run from one place.
- 04
Android app
A native Android app carrying the same pickup-city selection, item details and quote flow as the website, for customers who'd rather book from their phone.

Start a project01
What did CharPixel build for Courier Genie?
The full platform — the customer-facing web app and Android app, the vendor and courier-partner management layer, and the admin console behind both, including the pricing engine that turns weight, zone and courier partner into a comparable quote.
02
How does the quote comparison work?
A customer enters pickup and drop details and parcel weight, and the platform returns comparable quotes across delivery tiers — Economy, Standard and Premium — from the courier partners serving that route, including DTDC, FedEx, First Flight and Trackon.
03
Where does Courier Genie operate?
Pickup is free and doorstep across Delhi/NCR — Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Bahadurgarh — with delivery available across India through the partner courier network.
04
How is pricing kept up to date across courier partners?
Through the admin console rather than in code. Weight ranges, delivery zones and each courier partner's rates, including a vendor cut factor per weight slab, are configured there, so a rate change doesn't require a deploy.
