TocoPick: A Commission-Free Food Delivery Platform
A full food delivery platform — customer app, rider app and vendor dashboard — built in house.
About TocoPick
TocoPick is a restaurant delivery management platform built in house by CharPixel. It spans the three sides a delivery marketplace needs: a customer web application for discovering restaurants and ordering, a delivery partner application for riders, and a vendor dashboard where restaurants manage orders, menus, delivery and reporting. Its stated position is helping restaurants grow their online presence without losing profits to commission fees.
- Customer web application for restaurant discovery, browsing by cuisine and ordering.
- Delivery partner application for riders.
- Vendor dashboard covering orders, menu, reports, delivery, marketing and settings.
- Razorpay integration for payments.
- Commission-free positioning for restaurant partners.

What the platform had to solve
Food delivery is a three-sided system where every side is time-critical at once. A customer is waiting, a kitchen is cooking to a clock, and a rider is moving — and the state of an order has to stay consistent across all three in real time. On top of that, the commission model most platforms run on takes a substantial share of a restaurant's margin, which is the specific problem TocoPick was built to address.
What made it difficult
Three applications, one order state
Customer, rider and vendor each act on the same order from a different device at the same time. Keeping that state consistent and current across all three is the platform's core problem.
Everything is time-critical
A delayed status update is not a cosmetic issue when food is cooking and a rider is en route. Latency in the order pipeline turns directly into cold food and support calls.
Vendors are not software users
The dashboard is operated during a service rush by kitchen staff, not office workers. It has to be usable at a glance and hard to get wrong under pressure.
Payments and payouts
Customer payment, refunds on cancellation and merchant settlement all have to reconcile, which makes payment integration a correctness concern rather than a checkout feature.
How we approached it
- 01
Three purpose-built clients
A customer web application, a rider application and a vendor dashboard, each designed for its own context rather than one interface stretched across three jobs.
- 02
Live order pipeline
Order state propagating between customer, kitchen and rider as it changes, so each side sees the same status without refreshing or phoning.
- 03
Vendor operations tooling
Menu management, order handling, delivery assignment, customer messaging and reporting in one dashboard, with revenue and peak-hour analysis built in.
- 04
Razorpay payments
Payment processing through Razorpay, covering order payment and the cancellation and refund paths behind it.

How the system fits together
The structural decisions behind the platform.
- 01
Three clients over one order model — customer, rider and vendor — so a status change made anywhere is reflected everywhere.
- 02
A vendor dashboard covering orders, menu, delivery, marketing and reporting as one operational surface.
- 03
Razorpay handling payment, with cancellation and refund paths reconciled against order state.

Start a project01
Is TocoPick a client project?
No — it is a CharPixel in-house product. That makes it the clearest example of what we build when every decision is ours: the architecture, the three applications and the operational tooling were all designed together rather than inherited.
02
What are the three applications?
A customer web application for discovering restaurants and ordering, a delivery partner application for riders, and a vendor dashboard where restaurants manage orders, menus, delivery, marketing and reporting.
03
How are payments handled?
Through Razorpay, covering order payment as well as the cancellation and refund paths that have to reconcile against order state.
04
What does commission-free mean for restaurants?
TocoPick's stated position is helping restaurants grow their online presence without losing profits to commission fees — which is a direct response to the share of margin that conventional delivery marketplaces take.
